Air Fryer Apple Chips (Print Version)

Crisp sweet apple chips with cinnamon sugar, easily prepared using an air fryer for a wholesome snack.

# Components:

→ Apples

01 - 2 large apples, any crisp variety such as Fuji or Honeycrisp, washed, cored, and thinly sliced 1/8 inch thick

→ Cinnamon Sugar

02 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

→ Optional

04 - Olive oil spray or nonstick cooking spray for extra crispness

# Directions:

01 - Wash, core, and thinly slice the apples to approximately 1/8 inch thickness. Peeling is not necessary.
02 - In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until evenly distributed.
03 - Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil spray if desired for enhanced crispness.
04 - Place apple slices in a single layer within the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
05 - Evenly distribute the cinnamon sugar mixture over all apple slices.
06 - Air fry at 350°F for 7 to 8 minutes until the edges begin to crisp.
07 - Flip the apple slices and air fry for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until golden and crisp. Monitor closely to prevent burning.
08 - Transfer the chips to a wire rack to cool completely. They will continue to crisp as they cool.
09 - Repeat steps 4 through 8 with remaining apple slices until all batches are completed.
