# Components:
→ Beef Mixture
01 - 10 oz ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
02 - 1 small onion, finely diced
03 - 1 clove garlic, minced
04 - 1/2 tsp salt
05 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
06 - 1 tbsp ketchup
07 - 1 tsp yellow mustard
08 - 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
→ Sandwich Assembly
09 - 8 slices sandwich bread (white, whole wheat, or brioche)
10 - 8 slices cheddar cheese
11 - 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
12 - 4 tbsp dill pickle chips
13 - 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
14 - 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
# Directions:
01 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned, approximately 4 minutes.
02 - Add the finely diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened and fragrant, 2 to 3 minutes.
03 - Stir in the salt, black pepper, ketchup, yellow mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Continue cooking for an additional 1 to 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
04 - Lay out all bread slices on a clean work surface. Generously butter one side of each slice.
05 - On the unbuttered side of 4 bread slices, layer 1 slice of cheddar cheese, a generous spoonful of the seasoned beef mixture, dill pickle chips, tomato slices, and shredded lettuce. Top with another slice of cheddar cheese.
06 - Place the remaining 4 bread slices on top, buttered side facing outward, to close each sandwich.
07 - Heat a clean skillet over medium-low heat. Place the sandwiches in the pan and grill for 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is fully melted.
08 - Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let rest for 1 minute. Slice diagonally and serve immediately while hot.
